How it works

Three steps, no learning curve

1

Upload

Upload a photo from your device — it never leaves your browser.

2

Auto-crop & compliance check

IDKit detects your face, crops to spec, and checks head size, eye height, and background automatically.

3

Pay & download

Once it passes, pay $2.99 once for your compliant photo and a printable 4×6 sheet.

Why trust IDKit

Built to be honest about what it does

Processed on your device

Face detection, cropping, and background replacement all run locally in your browser — your photo is never uploaded to any IDKit server, before or after processing.

No face retouching, ever

Starting January 2026, the U.S. State Department banned AI face-retouching on passport photos. IDKit never retouches faces — no skin-smoothing, no reshaping, nothing altered about how you actually look.

$2.99, pay only if satisfied

$2.99, charged once, with no subscription. Pay only if you're satisfied — if you're not, email support@idkitapp.com within 7 days of purchase and we'll refund you, no interrogation.

FAQ

Common questions

Is my photo really private?

Yes. Face detection, cropping, and background replacement all run locally in your browser — your photo is never uploaded to any IDKit server, before or after processing.

Will the government definitely accept my photo?

IDKit checks your photo against the published US passport photo specification, entirely on your device, and we build the tool to match that spec as closely as possible. But IDKit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the U.S. Department of State or any other government agency — final acceptance of any photo is always at the sole discretion of the agency you submit it to.

How much does it cost, and is it really one-time?

$2.99, charged once, with no subscription. That single purchase includes both the compliant photo download and the printable 4×6 sheet (6 copies) — there are no additional tiers or upsells.
